  • Peak General Contracting is seeking an experienced Commercial Construction Project Manager to join our team of construction professionals. As a leading commercial contractor serving the DC, MD, and VA regions, we deliver intelligent solutions through responsive service and exceptional results on every project.

    We're looking for a skilled Project Manager to help maintain Peak's standards of safety, quality, and client satisfaction while contributing to our growing portfolio of commercial construction projects.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Project Management

    • Manage commercial construction projects from inception to close-out ($50K-$10M range)

    • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and progress documentation

    • Coordinate company personnel and resources across multiple concurrent projects

    • Oversee procurement processes, including bid packages and subcontractor selection

    • Ensure compliance with building codes, ADA requirements, and safety regulations

    • Prepare contracts, change orders, and close-out documentation

    Communication & Relationships

    • Foster strong partnerships with clients to maintain Peak's high repeat business rate

    • Build relationships with stakeholders, designers, and subcontractors

    • Act as liaison between ownership and construction teams

    • Lead project meetings with staff, owners, architects, and trade partners

    • Prepare monthly variance and budget reports for management

    Business Development

    • Assist with preconstruction efforts and estimation

    • Support business development activities and client relationship building

    • Conduct due diligence assessments and property condition evaluations

    • Mentor junior staff and support team development

    Qualifications:

    • 5+ years commercial construction experience (renovation, fit-outs, healthcare, education)

    • Bachelor's degree preferred (Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related)

    • Strong project estimation and budget management skills

    • Experience with Procore project management software

    • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities

    • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

    • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and building codes

    Preferred:

    • Relevant certifications (PMP, CCM, LEED)

    • First Aid/CPR and OSHA certification

    • Existing book of business

    This senior leadership role is critical to Peak's success on multi-phase and high-complexity projects. You'll lead field operations across our most demanding job sites while mentoring our site supervision team and setting the standard for quality execution and safety performance.

    Key Responsibilities:

    ·       Lead complex, multi-phase, and high-value construction projects from field execution through completion

    ·       Mentor and develop site supervision staff, establishing best practices and quality standards

    ·       Oversee multiple concurrent job sites with varying complexity levels and project requirements

    ·       Serve as escalation point for technical challenges and complex problem-solving on active projects

    ·       Collaborate directly with project management on strategic planning, resource allocation, and schedule optimization

    ·       Establish and maintain Peak's field execution standards across all supervised projects

    ·       Lead complex client interactions and presentations, representing Peak's technical expertise

    ·       Drive continuous improvement initiatives in safety protocols, quality processes, and field efficiency

    Qualifications:

    ·       Minimum 8+ years commercial construction supervision experience with proven leadership track record

    ·       Demonstrated success managing complex, multi-phase projects exceeding $1M in value

    ·       Strong mentorship and team development experience

    ·       Advanced problem-solving abilities with track record of resolving complex technical challenges

    ·       Exceptional communication skills with ability to lead high-level client presentations

    ·       Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and large subcontractor networks simultaneously

    ·       Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
